Option One:  Do nothing

Things have changed.

Covid has put a strain on Nursing and Care teams that has driven excessive labor costs and drives the need for nursing retention programs.

At the price of one FTE, having a team of experts and a way to identify issues and/or validate assumptions makes a lot of sense

The additional safety and efficiency gains far outweigh the cost of analytics.  Once customers really understand the value, it’s a “no brainer”.

Helping your customer Evaluate Options

Option Two: Vendor specific
reporting engines

Vendor supplied reporting engines, whether it’s Nurse Call or RTLS, only report on one modality.  Without seeing the big picture, it is difficult to determine priorities or understand root cause for things like response time issues.

These reporting systems are an engineering afterthought, based on the length of time it takes to get data, and the look-and-feel of the outputs.

They are not designed as full feature analytics utilities, and are unable to ‘slice and dice’ data as needed to provide insight.

Option Three:  Do it yourself with a report generator

Tableau, Microsoft BI, and other presentation software utilities can make data look quite attractive.

The challenge is getting the data from the various modalities, which requires specific queries, cracking databases, and understanding data structures.

Another advantage to CareSight is that we’ve done all of this before.  We simplify access and understand how to best organize and present data to accomplish common initiatives across hospitals.
