HOW ARE SYSTEMS CONFIGURED?
Configuring a CareSight solution is easier than most hardware solutions.

There are three major components in the composition of a quote: Implementation services, subscription billing, and consulting hours.
Sizing and Configuration
IMPLEMENTATION SERVICES
The first part of a configuration is determining the price of implementation. This is dependent on the platforms that will be monitored and analyzed for reporting purposes.

The base implementation is usually around the Nurse Call system, although it could be based on Patient Monitoring in some cases.
RECURRING SUBSCRIPTION
Reporting Units, or RU's are the basis for the subscription pricing. In a 500 bed hospital, with Rauland Nurse Call, as an example, there would be 500 RU's.

If other technologies run through Nurse Call, no additional RU's are counted. But, if there's another technology, like RTLS, that needs separate reporting, the number of location badges would be counted as another batch of RU's.
CONSULTING HOURS
Consulting hours are sold in blocks. Generally, 32 hours is added into the quote to provide a deep bench of coverage for the first year of service. This may be reduced over time, or maintained to ensure the customer gets the greatest value out of the solution.
